Excel 2011 mac vba2/16/2023 ![]() ![]() The issue is generally that the windows developers think Windows first, and don't know about what causes issues on the Mac side (what parts of the code model are different. I could generate click-based actions with hyperlinks but the names are the results of formulas, not text typed directly into cells. Mac has VBA, it's just that the object model for Mac VBA isn't exactly parrallel to Windows VBA in some cases. These cells will auto-populate with the information users need about that person. The dashboard contains VLOOKUP formulas that look up the value in 'Filters'!H7 in a table on another sheet containing personal info. Users select any cell within a range that contains people's names then they click the button and the value within the selected cell is copied into 'Filters'!H7'. If it matters, the macro is assigned to a button on a dashboard. Is there a way to speed up the macro or make it more Mac-friendly? I did some research and found that Macs don't particularly like macros. I haven't bothered to sit there long enough to see how long it takes (I tried it several ties and each time, I assumed the Mac completely pooped itself after the five minute mark). ![]() The macro runs perfectly and instantly on my PC but the Mac comes to an absolute standstill and freezes up completely.
